Not long ago, we had our lives back on track, we were back to offices, schools, we could socialize without being afraid of getting or giving Covid-19. All the children were able to enjoy their childhood as it should be rather than staring in the computer screen and virtually making friends. But, nothing lasts for long, ITS COMING BACK! yes, its been told that the virus is making a grand entrance to make our lives more miserable. Now, lets hope we will be able to cope with the situation and it will be gone soon without making any traumas.
Amidst this new developing “situation”, lets discuss about a term that is very much relatable to Corona virus: CORONAPHOBIA. Many of us had or have this, it’s natural to feel so, however lets try to now more about it and how to manage it.
WHAT IS CORONAPHOBIA ?
Yes of course, corona virus came as a whole package, coronaphobia is an anxiety disorder that restricts the individual from interacting with others or go overboard in washing the hands or any of the sanitizing activities that will keep the virus away. Its quite ok to have some anxiety about the virus that will make the lives of our loved ones in jeopardy, be that as it may, everything has to be in control and when this fear is on the edge it can be dangerous.
HOW TO MAKE IT GO AWAY?
With time it became clear that the virus is not going to give up any time sooner, and even if we do everything we can, its going to come back like a boomerang.
But there are somethings we can do to make it steer away, let’s see
TAKE IT SLOW
Its okay to be nervous about the big changes happening, take it at your own pace, adapt slowly to the changes, just try to make the most out of what we are having. At times, we have to restrict our life to the four walls, but there is still life to it. Most of all, remember no one can make you better than yourself, take time to reassure that its going to be okay, after all its just a virus and we will definitely find a way to kill it.
LOGICAL THINKING
Whenever you get worried about the “virus”, remember it’s a disease and it is manageable. Yes, it has caused great tragedies to many, but many have recovered from it. With the proper amount of care, it can be kept at a safe distance, over caring can lead to other health issues that get covered up by corona virus.
TACLKE YOUR ANXIETY
No one knows you better than yourself, so when you feel like things are getting a bit out of control, try to channel your stress to other things like, trying out something new, learn new languages or hobbies, or practice yoga, or a little exercise can do good.
FILTER YOUR INFORMATION
After the beginning of the corona season we depend completely on social media to get information even the doctor consultations became online. But, somebody using the social media clearly knows how easy its to create a forwarded message and ironically it spreads like corona virus. So, just be sure where to get the information, be confident that its credible and take only what you need and erase all the others.
The bottom line is that, we have to accept the fact that this pandemic is not going anywhere anytime sooner, well eventually it will be gone, but we cannot sacrifice our sanity for that. In spite of being affected by it, learn to outlive it. While trying to be sane in this circumstance, make sure not to be a coividiot. That tiny little virus may be able to take our normal lives away, but it cannot control our mind.
